Abstract

The objectives of this research were (1) to study the marketing mix factors and the decision-making process in choosing vegetarian food consumption among consumers in Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province, and (2) to examine the marketing mix factors that influence the decision-making process of vegetarian food consumption among consumers in Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province. The sample group   consisted of 400 vegetarian food consumers in Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province. A questionnaire was used as the research instrument, with a reliability coefficient of 0.923 for the entire questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, as well as inferential statistics to test the hypotheses through multiple regression analysis.

          The research findings revealed that (1) The overall level of marketing mix factors among vegetarian food consumers in Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province was at the highest level of importance, with the product factor receiving the highest mean score. Meanwhile, the overall level of the decision-making process was at a moderate level, with evaluation of alternatives receiving the highest mean score, followed by information search. (2) The marketing mix factors had a statistically significant effect on the decision-making process in choosing vegetarian food consumption at the 0.05 significance level. Three factors were found to have an effect, with product having the greatest influence, followed by promotion, while process had the least influence on consumers’ decision-making.
