Abstract

This research aims to study the levels of big data analytics, innovativeness, sustainable supply chain performance, and business performance in the retail sector. Additionally, it investigates the influence of big data analytics, innovativeness, and sustainable supply chain performance on the business performance of retail businesses. The population consisted of 3,450 retail businesses, with a stratified random sample of 336 companies. The research instrument was a questionnaire, and data collection was conducted online. The data were analyzed using inferential statistics with structural equation modeling techniques. The research findings revealed that big data analytics, innovativeness, sustainable supply chain performance, and business performance in the retail sector were all at high levels. Big data analytics had a direct positive influence on sustainable supply chain performance and business performance in retail businesses. Furthermore, it had an indirect positive influence on business performance. Similarly, innovativeness had a direct positive influence on sustainable supply chain performance and business performance in retail businesses, as well as an indirect positive influence on business performance. Therefore, retail businesses should focus on integrating big data analytics, innovativeness, and sustainable supply chain practices to develop strategies that link data analysis, innovation, and supply chain sustainability.
