Leadership Skills 21st Century for School Administrators under the Primary Educational Service Area Office of Bangkok

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to: (1) investigate the 21st century skills of administrators of educational institutions Under the Office of the Primary Education Service Area, Schools under the Office of the Primary Education Service Area of Bangkok; and (2) compare the 21" century skills of these administrators, classified by educational background and the work experience of the respondents. A sample of 150 was randomly selected from the teachers at the vocational educational institutions. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The statistics used in the research were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test. The results showed that The 21^st century skills of school administrators, both overall and in each individual aspect, were at a high level. The aspects were ranked in descending order as follows: Educational and Teaching Skills, Cognitive Skills, Conceptual Skills, Technical Skills, and Human Relations Skills. Teachers with different educational backgrounds showed no statistically significant differences in their perceptions of the administrators' 21^st century skills (p > 0.05). Similarly, differences in work experience did not result in significant differences in the perceived skills of the administrators.
