Factors affecting the Organizational Effectiveness of Sub-district Municipalities and Town Municipalities in Lopburi Province

Abstract

The purposes of this research were: (1) study the level of organizational effectiveness and (2) Study the factors affecting the organizational effectiveness of sub-district municipalities and town municipalities in Lopburi Province. This is a quantitative research.The sample group used in the research is 330 officials of sub-district municipalities and town municipalities in Lopburi Province, obtained by simple random sampling. The research instrument is a 5-level rating scale questionnaire. The statistics used in data analysis include percentage, mean, standard deviation and testing of research hypotheses with multiple regression analysis.

The results were as follows:

  1. The organizational effectiveness of sub-district and city municipalities in Lopburi Province is at a high level overall and
  2. The factors affecting the organizational effectiveness of sub-district and city municipalities in Lopburi Province are at a moderate level overall.
  3. The factors affecting the organizational effectiveness of sub-district and city municipalities in Lopburi Province are statistically significant at the .01 level. The strategic planning factor affects the effectiveness of sub-district and city municipalities in Lopburi Province the most with a regression coefficient of the predictor equal to .269. The leadership factor affects the effectiveness of sub-district and city municipalities in Lopburi Province the least with a regression coefficient of the predictor equal to .092. All factors affecting the effectiveness of sub-district and city municipalities in Lopburi Province can jointly predict the organizational effectiveness of sub-district and city municipalities in Lopburi Province by 76.70 percent with a forecast error of .232.
