Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the development of management factors that affect the effectiveness of sports for excellence at Northern College, which is important in the context of promoting and developing sports potential at the higher education level. Effective management helps increase the effectiveness of training and competition, but also affects the creation of an appropriate environment for athletes to develop their skills and abilities. This study focuses on analyzing and identifying various factors that impact sports management at Northern College, as well as assessing the impact of quality management on success in sports for excellence. This will lead to the development of management guidelines that can be effectively applied in educational organizations in the future. The sample size was determined using Krejcie and Morgan's table at a 95% confidence level, resulting in a sample size of 44 people. The research instrument used was a questionnaire, which was a checklist and a 5-point Likert scale. Quantitative data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, and Pearson's correlation coefficient (rxy) test. The research findings indicate that the overall development of management factors affecting the effectiveness of elite sports is at a high level. Management skills and leadership factors have the greatest influence on sports performance, while management system factors have the lowest average. This reflects the need to clarify data and budget management systems. Hypothesis testing revealed that all four management factors are highly positively correlated with sports effectiveness (R = 0.864) and can collectively predict 74.60% (R² = 0.746) with statistical significance at the .05 level.
