Abstract

This academic article investigates the relationship between competitive advantage and operational performance within the construction industry. Employing a theoretical framework and a comprehensive literature review, the study analyzes, critiques, and synthesizes this relationship. Key areas explored include factors influencing competitive advantage, strategies for creating edge, impacts on operational performance, and challenges in maintaining long-term advantage

           The findings indicate a positive correlation between competitive advantage and business performance, yet they also highlight the presence of complicating factors that require consideration. The article concludes by offering strategic recommendations for construction industry players to bolster their competitive advantage and achieve sustainable improvements in operational performance.
