Model and Leader Characteristics in the New Era Affecting Management Effectiveness of Subdistrict Administrative Organization in Khonkean Province

Abstract

The objectives of this study were 1) to study the level of management effectiveness of subdistrict administrative organization in Khonkean province, 2) to analyze model and leader characteristics in the new era affecting management effectiveness of subdistrict administrative organization in Khonkean province, and 3) to propose the development trend of management effectiveness of subdistrict administrative organization in Khonkean province. This research was mixed methodology research. The conceptual framework of this research was applied from Rensis Likert Stogdill’s theory. The population consisted of 8,723 people from 1) administrative department of subdistrict administrative organization including mayor and assistance officer in subdistrict administrative organization, 2) legislative department of subdistrict administrative organization including chairman of the council, vice chairman of the council and council members of subdistrict administrative organization, and 3) officers in subdistrict administrative organization in Khonkean province. The samples were 367 people determined by Krejcie & Morgan and interviewed 12 mayors of subdistrict administrative organization. The research instrument was an questionnaire and interview form and the reliability was .93, .90, and .94 with the quality data were analyzed to summarize the content. Statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, and mean.

The research results revealed that

1. 1. level of management effectiveness of subdistrict administrative organization in Khonkean province as a whole was at much level. When considering each aspect in descending average order found that all aspects were at much level namely disaster prevention and relief community, utilities community, health services, natural resource development and environment, occupation and economic respectively.
2. Analyze model and leader characteristics in the new era affecting management effectiveness of subdistrict administrative organization in Khonkean province found that consultation, physical characteristics, real participation, and intelligence and abilities affected management effectiveness of subdistrict administrative organization in Khonkean province at 12.70 % with statistically significant level of .05 ...
