Local Development Affecting the Life Quality of People in Ratchaburi Province

The research purposes were (1) to study the life quality levels of people in Ratchaburi Province; (2) to analyze the human capital development public participation and administration according to its impact on the quality of life of the people In Ratchaburi Province; and (3) to propose the guidelines for development of the life quality of people in Ratchaburi Province. This was the quantitative and qualitative research. The population was the people aged 18 years and over, named in the household registration in Ratchaburi Province. The quantitative sample group was the 400 people, the research instrument was the questionnaire; the qualitative sample group was the 20 people, the research instrument was the in-depth interview form. The data analysis statistics were the frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, multiple regression analysis, and correlation analysis.
The research findings were:
1. The life quality level of people in Ratchaburi Province found the overall was at high level; the descending mean were the physical environment and safety aspect, the health aspect, the economic security aspect, the community life aspect, the themselves life aspect, the intellectual aspect, the work life aspect, and the family life aspect, respectively.
2. The people's participation and administration according to the good governance in the aspect of participation in benefits, principles of response, principles of effectiveness, competence, participation in evaluation, the principles of efficiency, the principles of equality, the principles of consensus, the intellectual competence, and the principles of rule of law affected the life quality of people in Ratchaburi Province at the statistical significance level of .05
