The research is Effectiveness of Local Development in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province; The research purposes were (1) to study the effectiveness of local development in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province; (2) to analyze the factors affecting the effectiveness of local development in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province; and (3) to study the guidelines for increasing the effectiveness of local development in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. This was the quantitative and qualitative research. The population was the people aged 18 years and over, named in the household registration in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. The quantitative sample group was the 400 people, the research instrument was the questionnaire; the qualitative sample group was the 20 people, the research instrument was the in-depth interview form. The data analysis statistics were the frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, multiple regression analysis, and correlation analysis.
The research findings were:
1. The effectiveness of local development in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province found the overall was at moderate level; the descending mean were the aspect of life promotion quality, the aspect of organizational management according to good governance, the aspect of education, religion and culture, the aspect of capital sending and commerce, the aspect of tourism, the aspect of infrastructure, the aspect of environment, and the aspect of disaster prevention and mitigation and maintaining order, respectively.
2. The rule of law principle, the decentralization principle, participate in evaluation of activities, participate in planning and execution, participate in responsibility, the participation principle, and the wisdom-based leadership affected the effectiveness of local development in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province at the statistical significance level .05.
