Development of Mathematics Skills Exercises on Integer System, Mathematics Learning Subject Group of Secondary 1, Huatapanwittayakom School under the Jurisdiction of Secondary Educational Service Area Office 29

Abstract

               The research purposes were (1) to create the mathematics skill exercises on integer system; (2) to study the effectiveness index of learning activities using mathematics skills exercises; (3) to compare the learning achievements before and after learning of students studying by using the mathematics skill exercises; and (3) to study the student's satisfaction on learning by using the mathematics skill exercises. The sample group was the 30 Secondary 1 students of Secondary 1, Huatapanwittayakom School under the Jurisdiction of Secondary Educational Service Area Office 29, semester 1, academic year 2021; selected by cluster sampling. The research instrument was (1) the mathematics skills exercises, (2) the learning achievement test, and (3) the questionnaire on students' satisfaction with their learning by using mathematics skill exercises. The data analysis statistics were the percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Wilcoxon-signed rank test.

           The research findings were:

1. The mathematics skill exercises on integer systems were appropriate; the overall was at the high level, with an efficiency of 81.06/81.74 percent, higher than the specified criterion.
2. The effectiveness of learning activities using mathematics skill exercises for Secondary 1 students found the 68 percent increase in progress.
3. The students' learning achievement after learning was higher than before learning at the statistical significance level .05, according to the given hypothesis.
4. The student's satisfaction on learning by using the mathematics skill exercises on integer system found the overall was at high level. Than before learning at the statistical significance level .05, according to the given hypothesis.
