Development of the Packages for Teaching English Vocabulary on “Parts of the Body” for Primary 3 Students

Abstract

          The research purposes were (1) to create the teaching packages, (2) to compare the learning achievements of pre- and post-learning students using the teaching packages, and (3) to study the satisfaction of Primary 3 students towards learning by using the developed teaching packages, learning group of foreign language, English subject, learning unit: Parts of the Body for Primary 3 students. The sample group was the 31 Primary 3 students in semester 1, academic year 2019 at Bansansamran School under the jurisdiction of Yasothon Primary Educational Service Area Office 2; selected by the purposive random sampling. The research instruments were: (1) the learning achievement test; (2) the learning management plans and (3) the questionnaire on student satisfaction toward learning using the teaching packages. The data analysis statistics were the percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test.

The research findings were:

          1. The set of English vocabulary teaching titled “Parts of the Body” for Primary 3 students created had the efficiency equal to 81.66/83.80, higher than the 80/80 given criterion.

          2. The post-learning achievement of Primary 3 students had the learning achievement in vocabulary on “Parts of the Body higher than pre-learning at statistical significance level .01 according to the given hypothesis.

          3. The Primary 3 students had the highest level of satisfaction with learning using the English vocabulary teaching package on the title “Parts of the Body”.
