Administration and Sustainable Development Affecting the Life Quality of People in Nakhon Ratchasima Province

Abstract

          The research purposes were to study 1) the level of local development in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province; 2) to analyze the leadership and participation of people affecting local development in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province; and 3) to present the guidelines for local development in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. This was the quantitative and qualitative research. The population was the people aged 18 years and over, had house registration in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. The quantitative research sample group was the 400 people; the research instrument was the questionnaire; the qualitative research sample group was the 20 people consisted of the 3 community leaders and 17 general people; the research instrument was the in-depth interview form. The data analysis statistics were the frequency, mean, standard deviation, multiple regression analysis, and correlation analysis.

results were as follows:

          1. the local development in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province found the overall was at high level; the descending mean were the participation in decision-making, the  participation in assessment, the participation in receiving benefits, and the participation in operations, respectively.

          2. the leadership and participation of people affecting local development in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province had the statistical significance level .05

          3. should be promoted the learning to strengthen leadership and encourage people's participation, and allow people to play the roles in local development, to achieve local development according to people's needs, because people will be aware of problems and issues that really need to be developed.
