Public Policy through Half-Half Co-Payment Scheme and Public Participation Affecting the Life Quality of People in Pathum Thani Province

Abstract

         The research purposes were: (1) to study the life quality levels of people in Pathum Thani Province; (2) to analyze the public policy through Half-Half Co-Payment Scheme and public participation affecting the life quality of people in Pathum Thani Province; and (3) to propose the guidelines for developing the public policy and life quality of people in Pathum Thani Province. This was the quantitative and qualitative research. The target population was the people aged 18 years and over, listed in the household registration in Pathum Thani Province. The quantitative research sample group was the 400 people, the research instrument was the questionnaire; and the qualitative research sample group was the 18 people, the research instrument was the in-depth interview form. The data analysis statistics were the frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, multiple regression analysis, and the correlation analysis.

          The research findings were:

          1. The life quality of people found the overall was at high level; the each aspect consideration found all aspects were at high level; the descending mean were the mental aspect, the environment aspect, the physical aspect, and the least mean was the social relationship aspect, respectively;

          2. The public policy: Half-Half Co-Payment Scheme and public participation found the aspect of providing adequate services, the ongoing service aspect, and the aspect of participation in assessments affected the life quality of people in Pathum Thani Province at statistical significance level .05.

          3. The guidelines for developing the public policy and life quality of people were the comprehensive services should be provided to increase public participation, and allowing the public to participate in public policy evaluation to meet the needs of the people.
