The Causal Model of Knowledge Management, Business Model Innovation, and Competitive Advantage of Entrepreneurs in Small and Medium Enterprises

This research aims to analyze the direct effect between knowledgemanagement, business model innovation, and competitive advantages ofentrepreneurs in small and medium enterprises; and to investigate the indirect effect of knowledge management on competitive advantages through innovative businessmodels of entrepreneurs in small and medium enterprises. The respondents were 281 small and medium enterprise entrepreneurs out of 530 entrepreneurs. The statistics used were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Correlation Coefficient Analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and testing of causal relationships by analyzing structural equation modeling. The results of the research showed that knowledge management, business model innovation, and competitive advantage have a positive correlation. It was found that the model of research concept and empirical data were conditionally consistent. Additionally, it showed that knowledge management has a direct effect on business model innovation. Knowledge management has a direct effect on competitive advantage. And business model innovation has a direct effect on competitive advantage. Furthermore, knowledge management indirectly affects competitive advantages through innovative business models. The findings of this research will benefit small and medium enterprises management and provide
suggestions and future research.
