The Study of Student’s Learning Achievement and Satisfaction Using STAD Cooperative Learning for Vietnamese Spoken Language Course of The Second Year Students Majoring in Vietnamese in Chongzuo Vocational and Technical School

Abstract

         The purposes of this research were to 1) compare students’ learning achievement of the vocational Vietnamese spoken language course using STAD cooperative learning between before and after school and after school with 75% of the criteria 2) study the students’ satisfaction. The samples were30 students on the second year who studied Spoken Vietnamese Course majoring in Vietnamese in Chongzuo Vocational and Technical School, and a simple random sampling is taken from 30 students in the second semester of 2021 academic year. Research tools included of 1) A management program of spoken Vietnamese learning using STAD technique. 2) The 30 items of 4 multiple choices spoken Vietnamese achievement test for spoken Vietnamese courses, which has consistency values (0.60≤IOC≤1.00), difficulty values (0.40-0.68), discriminant values (0.35-0.52) and Lovett reliability values (0.84), Alpha Cronbach reliability values (0.87) 3) The 5rating scale questionnaire consisted of 15 items, which had the Item Objective Congruence value (0.60 ≤ IOC≤ 1.00). The data were analyzed by means (), standard deviation (S.D.) and t-test. The study design was a pre- and post-test design. Data were analyzed by means, percentage, standard deviation and T test.

          The results showed as follows :

          1) The post-test score was higher than the pre-test score (0.01 level), and the post-test score was significantly higher than the 75 percentage

          2) Students are satisfied with the learning activities. Overall, the average degree of satisfaction in all aspects at the highest level of satisfaction (=4.85)
