Abstract

The research aims at 1) exploring the attitudes and satisfaction towards online Japanese learning of students majoring in Hotel Management and Tourism Industry of The faculty of Management Sciences in Nakhonratchasima Rajabhat University during the COVID-19 pandemic, 2) comparing the attitudes and satisfaction according to the personal characteristics of the learners: gender, field of study, anxiety, availability of communication devices, academic results, period of internet usage per day and preferred learning style. This research collected data by using questionnaire. The samples were 32 students majoring in Hotel Management and Tourism Industry. The statistics used in the data analysis were descriptive statistics: percentage, mean, standard deviation and inferential statistics: t-test and one-way analysis of variance.

The result are as follows: 1) The students’ attitudes towards online Japanese learning in emotion, cognition, behavior or expression and overall satisfaction were at high level. 2) The students’ satisfaction towards online Japanese learning to the teacher were at the highest level, teaching management, content, learners, environment and overall satisfaction were at a high level. 3) The results of the attitude analysis towards online Japanese learning classified by learner's characteristics showed that gender affected to overall attitude, emotion and cognition. Moreover, also showed that preferred learning style affected to overall attitude and emotion. 4) The results of the satisfaction analysis of towards online Japanese learning classified by learners' characteristics showed that grades affected to content. Moreover, the availability of communication devices affected to overall satisfaction, content, teacher and learners.
