Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this research were to 1) study knowledge about nutrition of people exercising in the fitness of Muang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province 2) study food consumption behavior of people exercising in the fitness of Muang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province 3) study the relationship between knowledge and food consumption behavior of people exercising in the fitness of Muang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The sample group was people exercising in the fitness of Muang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province 384 persons. The instrument used in this research were a questionnaire about knowledge and food consumption behavior. Data analysis with a statistical package. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation. And the Pearson product moment correlation coefficient.

The research results were found that :

1. The sample group had knowledge at a moderate level ( = 15.34, S.D. = 2.513)

2. The sample group had overall food consumption behavior at a moderate level ( = 1.06, S.D. = 0.164).

3. Knowledge had a low negative correlation with food consumption behavior of people exercising in fitness of Muang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. With statistical significance at the .05 level.
