เรือเหนือคีรีวง : ปฐมเหตุและการเปลี่ยนแปลงในปัจจุบัน

บทคัดย่อ
บทความวิชาการนี้เพื่อศึกษาปฐมเหตุและการเปลี่ยนแปลงในปัจจุบันของเรือเหนือคีรีวง ผลการศึกษาพบว่า เรือเหนือคีรีวงนั้นเป็นเรือโบราณในชุมชนคีรีวง ซึ่งใช้เป็นพาหนะในการเดินทางผ่านแม่น้ำลำคลองเพื่อทำการซื้อขายสินค้าในชุมชนคีรีวงหรือแลกเปลี่ยนผลิตภัณฑ์ระหว่างชุมชนคีรีวงกับชุมชนภายนอกคีรีวง เช่น มังคุด ทุเรียน เงาะ และหมาก จนกระทั่งน้ำท่วมในปี พ.ศ.2505 เป็นภัยธรรมชาติที่ทำให้น้ำท่วม ดินโคลนถล่มและแม่น้ำลำคลองเกิดความตื้นเขิน ซึ่งส่งผลให้การเดินทางสัญจรผ่านแม่น้ำลำคลองไม่ได้ คนในชุมชนคีรีวงจึงขายเรือเหนือให้กับคนนอกชุมชนทั้งหมด ประกอบกับมีการสร้างถนนเข้าสู่ชุมชนคีรีวง มีความทันสมัยขึ้น และสะดวกรวดเร็วขึ้น ทำให้ปริมาณการเดินทางและการขนส่งผ่านแม่น้ำลำคลองค่อย ๆ ลดลง ทำให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลง คือ เปลี่ยนจากเรือเหนือที่เป็นเรือโบราณใชุมชนคีรีวง หรือการเดินทางโดยเรือเหนือได้สิ้นสุดลง เหลือเพียงการถ่ายทอดพิธีกรรมเกี่ยวกับเรือเหนือในชุมชนคีรีวงในงานประจำปีของชุมชนคีรีวงในทุก ๆ ปี โดยนำเรือเหนือไปลอยในแม่น้ำลำคลองเพื่อขอพรจากแม่ย่านาง หลังจากพิธีกรรมเสร็จสิ้น คนในชุมชนคีรีวงร่วมรับประทานอาหาร และนำเรือเหนือมาเก็บรักษาไว้ในวัดคีรีวง อำเภอลานสกาจังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช ทั้งนี้เพื่อให้พิธีกรรมเกี่ยวกับเรือเหนือกลายเป็นต้นแบบที่ทำให้เห็นถึงการดำรงอยู่ของวิถีแบบเรือเหนือของชุมชนคีรีวงในอดีต โดยกระบวนการถ่ายทอดความรู้ในรูปแบบที่หลากหลาย เนื้อหาสอดคล้องกับปัจจุบัน ทำให้เห็นคุณค่าและการมีส่วนร่วมทุกภาคส่วน
