Abstract

This research article aimed to: 1) Synthesize the components of digital skills of school administrators and 21st-century skills of teachers; and 2) Examine the appropriateness and feasibility of the synthesized components. A mixed-methods research design was employed and conducted in three stages. First, the components were synthesized from 20 relevant documents and research studies, with 10 sources for each variable. Components with a frequency of 50% or higher were selected. Second, experts were interviewed to confirm and refine the synthesized components. Third, the appropriateness and feasibility of the components were evaluated by five experts selected through purposive sampling. The experts represented four professional groups based on the specified qualifications and had at least five years of relevant experience. Data were analyzed using content analysis, frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The findings revealed that the digital skills of school administrators comprised five components: information literacy, computer and media literacy, digital communication literacy, technological literacy, and digital collaboration, with frequencies ranging from 60% to 100%. The 21st-century skills of teachers also comprised five components: digital skills, critical thinking, teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving, with frequencies ranging from 70% to 90%. All components were confirmed by the experts. The digital skills components of school administrators demonstrated the highest level of appropriateness and feasibility (equation = 4.80, S.D. = 0.38); (equation = 4.72, S.D. = 0.43), respectively. Similarly, the 21st-century skills components of teachers were rated at the highest level of appropriateness and feasibility (equation = 4.74, S.D. = 0.38); (equation = 4.69, S.D. = 0.42), respectively. The findings can serve as a framework for developing operational definitions, behavioral indicators, and research instruments for subsequent empirical validation.
