Abstract

The academic article “Marketing Communication Strategies of Modern Retail Businesses for Enhancing Consumer Brand Engagement” aims to investigate the role of marketing communication strategies within the context of changing business environments in the digital era, which have significantly influenced consumer behavior, competitive patterns, and the operational approaches of modern retail businesses. This study seeks to analyze the key components of marketing communication strategies that can effectively enhance consumer brand engagement. The study is divided into three main areas: 1) Digital marketing communication strategies for modern retail businesses, 2) Traditional marketing communication strategies for modern retail businesses, and 3) Emerging trends in retail marketing communication for strengthening consumer brand engagement. The study emphasizes the analysis of the integration between online and offline communication channels, including the application of digital technologies, social media, and consumer data to create interaction and personalized experiences that respond to individual consumer needs. This research employs a qualitative research methodology through documentary content analysis and meta-synthesis of research studies and academic articles published between 2015-2025. The findings indicate that effective marketing communication strategies must be able to communicate brand value clearly, maintain consistency in brand identity, encourage consumer participation, and create positive experiences that lead to both emotional and behavioral engagement with the brand. Furthermore, the use of digital technologies for personalized communication has become a significant factor in fostering sustainable long-term relationships between businesses and consumers in the digital era. These strategies also contribute to enhancing competitiveness, strengthening brand loyalty, and promoting the long-term growth of retail businesses within the rapidly changing context of the digital economy.
