THE DEVELOPMENT OF E-THESAURUS USING INTER-LANGUAGE COMMON BASED CONCEPT TO DEVELOP THAI, LOCAL DIALECTS, ENGLISH, AND CHINESE LANGUAGES USED FOR CULTURAL TOURISM IN BANPONG DISTRICT, RATCHABURI PROVINCE FOR COMMUNITY YOUTH AND PEOPLE

Abstract
Research objectives were to develop e-thesaurus to develop Thai, dialects (Lao Wiang and Mon), English and Chinese language skill for cultural tourism in youth and people using a common concept for improving language skills in youth and people, to study the satisfaction obtained from the e- thesaurus, English and Chinese knowledge after the study using e- thesaurus, and to compare the size of English and Chinese vocabulary after the study using e- thesaurus. The methodology included 3 parts: 1) Development of linguistic content, 2) Creating tools includes: a satisfaction assessment, a knowledge test, and a vocabulary size test, and finally, 3) developing an e- thesaurus. Participants include 250 students of the 6th primary from 5 schools affiliated with Ratchaburi School District Office using purposive, and 100 people in Ban Pong District. They studied using e- thesaurus for 16 weeks. The findings included: The content consists of 3,599 words with efficiency of 81.2/83. An analysis of the satisfaction of students showed that average satisfaction level was 4.52 and in the people, average satisfaction level was 4.51. A comparative analysis of English and Chinese knowledge reveals that students obtain average pre-test scores = 26.42 and post-test scores = 48.54, and t-test = 1.89 p <.05 and people obtain average pre-test scores = 24.15 and post-test scores = 44.21, and t-test = 1.82 p <.05. The analysis of vocabulary size test reveals that students obtain average pre-test scores = 3.5 and post-test = 8.93, and people obtain average pre-test scores = 3.21 and post-test = 7.4.
