COMPETENCY OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS IN THE 21ST CENTURY AND HAPPINESS AT WORK OF TEACHERS UNDER THE MUNICIPALITY IN SAMUT SAKHON PROVINCE

Abstract
This research on the competency of school and happiness at work of teachers under the Municipality in Samut Sakhon Province. The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the level of competency of school administrators in the 21st century under the Municipality in Samut Sakhon Province; 2) to study the level of happiness at work of teachers under the Municipality in Samut Sakhon Province; and 3) to study the relationship between competency of school in the 21st century and happiness at work of teachers under the Municipality in Samut Sakhon Province; The research was survey research. The population of 372 people work as teachers and school administrators under the Municipality in Samut Sakhon Province. The sample group consisted of 168 people. The sample size determined by Krejcie & Morgan who work as teachers and school administrators under the Municipality in Samut Sakhon Province, was obtained by stratified random sampling method; the method has four steps: 1) study documents and research related to the research, 2) create research tools, 3) collect data, 4) analyze the data. The research instrument used for data collection was a five-point rating scale questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, Standard Deviation, and correlation coefficients. The results of the research found that 1) the competency of school administrators in the 21st century under the Municipality in Samut Sakhon Province, overall and in each aspect was at a high level, 2) the happiness at work of teachers under the Municipality in Samut Sakhon Province, overall and in each aspect was at a high level, and 3) the relationship between competency of school administrators in the 21st century and happiness at work of teachers under the Municipality in Samut Sakhon Province, overall, and in each aspect had high positive correlation at the statistical significance of the .05 level.
