THE STUDENTS’ SATISFACTION TOWARDS CHARACTERISTICS OF MORAL TEACHING MONKS IN SCHOOLS, MAHAMAKUT BUDDHIST UNIVERSITY, SRITHAMMASOKARAJ CAMPUS, NAKHON SI THAMMARAT PROVINCE.

Abstract

The objectives of this research were as follows 1). To study the students’ satisfaction towards characteristics of moral teaching monks in schools, Mahamakut Buddhist university, Srithammasokaraj campus, Nakhon Si Thammarat province. 2). To compare the students’ satisfaction towards characteristics of moral teaching monks in school, Mahamakut Buddhist university, Srithammasokaraj campus, Nakhon Si Thammarat province in terms of sexes, classes, average grades, guardian’s educations and guadians occupations as differently 3). To study the suggestions on problems and resolutions in characteristics of moral teaching monks in schools, Mahamakut Buddhist university, Srithammasokaraj campus, Nakhon Si Thammarat province. The population were students who learn moral subject in schools which the Buddhist monks had tought, Mahamakut Buddhist University, Srithammasokaraj campus, Nakhon Si Thammarat province, there are about 6,500 persons, sample size by Krejcie and Morgan’s table measurement, the samples were about 381 persons, simple random sampling was used by lotto. The statistics were applied as follows, frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test, one way ANOVA, and to test the arithmetic mean in each pair by LSD method (Least Significant Difference)

          The findings were as follows:

          The almost of students were female (266 persons = 69.82%) primary class 4-6 (163 person = 42.78%) grade 2.00-3.00 (170 person = 44.62%) guardian’s education in high school or equal (126 person = 33.07%) guardian’s occupation in agriculture and worker (163 persons = 42.78%) when considered and classified according to promotive factors and dependent variables found that

The students’ satisfaction torwards characteristics of moral teaching monks in school, Mahamakut Buddhist university, Srithammasokaraj campus, Nakhon Si Thammarat province, by including seven aspects were at more level when considered in each aspects found that the aspect of assessment ( =4.12, S.D.=0.62) was the highest mean and followed up the aspect of teaching media ( = 4.10, S.D.=0.68) and the aspect of personality and teaching moral code ( =3.99, S.D.=06.1) and the aspect of cultural and moral behavior development ( =3.99, S.D.=0.49) was the lowest mean.


2. The students who were different of average grades, guardian’s educations, and guardian’s occupations found that there were satisfied toward moral teaching monks in school, Mahamakut Buddhist University, Srithammasokaraj campus, Nakhon Si Thammarat province with different as statistically significance at .001, but in terms of sexes, and classes found that there were not different as statistically significance at .05

          3. The students had recommended to characteristics of moral teaching monks in schools, Mahamakut Buddhist university, Srithammasokaraj campus, Nakhon Si Thammarat province in the aspect of cultural and moral teaching monks came late for teaching, some was not train in the right way, The resolutions, i.e. there should come in the right time for teaching, there should try to train moral in the right way, there should develop their behavior for a good model.
