Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the current conditions, desirable conditions, and priority needs index of future competencies of school administrators and 2) to study competencies development guidelines of school administrators. The study was divided into 2 phases. Phase 1: studied the current condsition, desirable condition and the priority needs index by applying the Krejcie & Morgan table from the 14 school administrators and 317 teachers, total 331 people, as the group of samples by stratified random sampling method. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The tool quality values were as follows: IOC was between 0.80-1.00, current conditions reliability was 0.95 and desirable condition reliability was 0.96. The statistics were mean, standard deviation, and modified priority needs index. Phase 2: to study future competencies development guidelines was divided into 3 processes. Process 1: to study development guidelines by interviewing 9 experts with the interview forms, analyze the information by descriptive analysis. Process 2: to draft development guidelines. Process 3: to evaluate development guidelines by the 7 experts. The statistics consisted of mean( ) and standard deviation ( ). 

          The results showed that: 1) Current Conditions of future competencies overall and each aspect was high ( = 3.32). Desirable Conditions overall and each aspect was highest ( = 4.80). The Modified Priority Needs Index was 0.42 – 0.48. 2) Future Competencies Development Guidelines of school administrators found 15 guidelines, there are adaptation to change 5 guidelines, leader for innovation and digital technology 4 guidelines, strategic management 3 guidelines and strengthening organizational culture 3 guidelines. The feasibility propriety of future competencies development guidelines of school administrators overall was highest ( = 4.85) and ( =4.82) , respectively.
