Abstract

         This academic article aims to 1) study the process of considering                          traditional communities that should be preserved, 2) study the history and                 the identity of Traditional Communities Photharam Market, and 3) study the process of announcing the Traditional Communities Photharam Market to the Inheritance of Ratchaburi Province. This is qualitative research by reviewing documents, research papers, research articles, and minutes “the Traditional Communities Photharam Market Database Creating” of Ratchaburi Natural Environment and      Local Arts Conservation Unit, with the concept of traditional communities and provincial heritage. The authors will present 1) Introduction,                   2) Traditional Communities, 3) Traditional Communities Photharam Market,                          4) Provincial heritage, 5) Traditional Communities Photharam Market to the Inheritance of Ratchaburi Province, and 6) Conclusion.


         The study found that the Traditional Communities Photharam Market,                  has characteristics of traditional communities that should be fully preserved                  both the physical features of settlement, non-physical and location context.                    There has a long history, various elements of the heritage site that are complete following the guidelines and has a management plan of the local government organization. As a result, the Traditional Communities Photharam Market                   was declared the inheritance of Ratchaburi Province that will lead to creative economic development and create sustainability for the provincial heritage.
