The Potential Development of Agricultural Tourism in Baan Bua Khun Jong Village, Buachet District, Surin
Abstract
The potential development of agricultural tourism in Baan Bua Khun Jong village, Buachet district, Surin. In this study, several topics will be focused on Firstly, research the context of the local environment and the potential for agriculture tourism’s attractions. Secondly, to evaluate and promote the community’s agricultural tourism potential. Lastly, “mix method research” was studies and conducted to examine the potential of tourism development and community agriculture by using quantitative research method techniques to collect the data such as surveys, interviews forms and small group discussions with local residents or leader who are actively involved in the operation of agriculture’s tourism. According to the research, it was found that Baan Bua Khun Jong is a community that grows organic vegetables. Beside this, people in the community work together to manage organic vegetable plots, including farmer’s orchards and neighbourhoods in the area. In addition, the results of the assessment by five factors of the potential of agricultural tourism sites It was discovered that the potential of agricultural tourism, tourism attractions and tourism activities the accessibility of tour leaders access to tourist attractions of amenities, all of which are listed above are extremely potential as respectively.
The three following guidelines apply to the development of agricultural tourism potential at Baan Bua Khun Jong, Bua Chet Subdistrict, Buachet District, Surin. First, it aims to promote agricultural tourism by dividing it into a group of activities as a base activities. For example: base of operations for cultivating crops, local herbs and organic fruit, observe activity’s base and the base of cooking activities from local ingredients and bring tourism activities to develop into a tourism programme that response tourist demands. Second, in order to maximize and enhance community’s potential to have appropriate knowledge and competence in the management of agriculture’s tourism activities. Third, pilot by getting involved in community engagement and network partnerships. in order to further enhance agriculture’s tourism that ultimately benefits the community's individuals.
