Journal of Language and Culture is a Humanities and Social Sciences journal published twice annually, in June and December by the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia, Mahidol University, since 1981.

The aims of the journal are to publish academic works on language and culture for the benefit of national development and international collaboration as well as to promote and support the conservation, development and revitalization of language and culture. The journal welcomes all manuscripts in the sub-fields of linguistics, cultural studies, anthropology, community development, and language for communication, translation, and teaching, especially theoretically focused analysis, applied research, and analyzed or synthesized research papers carried out in the Asian region.

The Journal of Language and Culture is a double-blind peer review journal seeking to publish academic papers on humanities and social sciences. Articles may be in Thai or English and should be 15-25 A4 pages of text (references included). Article abstracts should be in both English and Thai. Submissions to the Journal of Language and Culture should follow the guidelines provided on the website of the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia (http://www.lc.mahidol.ac.th/lcjournal/en/notes-for-authors.htm).

Only original manuscripts will be accepted for review and on the condition that they have not been and will not be submitted for publication elsewhere. Every manuscript will be refereed by three academic experts in the appropriate field. The published articles need to be accepted by at least 2 of the 3 referees. The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject any material deemed inappropriate, or to make minor changes for presentation and format purposes only and accepts no responsibility for the accuracy or otherwise of the content. Articles for each issue will be published in the order determined by the Editorial Board. Any article published in the Journal of Language and Culture is considered an academic work representing the opinions of the author(s) and should not be construed as reflecting the opinions of the Editorial Board.
