Abstract

Background and Aims: Local administrative organizations play a crucial role in improving the quality of life of people in local communities, which requires personnel with adequate capacity and effective job performance. Nong Suang Subdistrict Administrative Organization is responsible for various functions, including administration, local development, and public service delivery. Therefore, evaluating personnel performance efficiency is essential. Personal factors may influence work practices and job outcomes. This study aimed to examine the level of performance efficiency of personnel at Nong Suang Subdistrict Administrative Organization and to compare performance efficiency based on personal factors in order to provide empirical data for human resource development aligned with the organizational context.

Methodology: This study employed a quantitative research approach. The sample consisted of 35 personnel of Nong Suang Subdistrict Administrative Organization. The research instrument was a questionnaire comprising three sections: general information, performance efficiency in four dimensions—work quality, work quantity, timeliness of work, and work methods—and an open-ended section for additional suggestions. Content validity was verified by experts. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, as well as inferential statistics, including t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), and Scheffé’s post hoc test.

Results: The findings indicated that the overall performance efficiency of personnel at Nong Suang Subdistrict Administrative Organization was at the highest level. Among the four dimensions, work quality had the highest mean score, followed by work quantity, timeliness of work, and work methods, respectively. Comparative analysis based on personal factors revealed that differences in educational level, department/section, length of service, and monthly income resulted in statistically significant differences in overall performance efficiency at the .05 level. However, no statistically significant differences were found with respect to gender, age, and personnel type.

Conclusion: The results demonstrate that personnel at Nong Suang Subdistrict Administrative Organization exhibit a high level of performance efficiency. The findings can serve as empirical evidence for formulating appropriate human resource development strategies and enhancing administrative efficiency in local administrative organizations in a sustainable manner.
