Announcement: Updated Publication Ethics Policy and Revised Article Template

    Effective from Volume 7, Issue 1 (January–February 2027)

The Interdisciplinary Academic and Research Journal (IARJ) announces updates to its Publication Ethics policy and article template to strengthen academic integrity, transparency, and accountability in scholarly publishing.

    1. Updated Publication Ethics Policy

The revised policy is organized into five sections:

    1. Ethics Role: Publisher, Editors, Reviewers, Authors

    2. Ethical Concerns in Human or Animal Subjects

    3. Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement

    4. Process for Dealing with Research Misconduct

    5. Ethical Guidelines for Using AI in Academic Writing

Authors and other participants in the publication process should consult the full Publication Ethics policy.

    2. Revised Article Template

Authors must prepare their manuscripts using the revised template available through the “Download Template” menu on the journal website. The template includes the following requirements:

    2.1 Declaration Form

Authors must provide accurate statements covering:

    • Conflict of Interest

    • Generative AI and AI-assisted Technologies

    • Data Availability Statement

    • Ethics Statement

    • Funding

Where an item does not apply, authors must state this explicitly and provide a brief explanation where appropriate.

2.2 Author Contributions: CRediT Contributor Roles Taxonomy

Each manuscript must include an Author Contributions statement identifying each author’s actual contributions using the applicable roles from the 14-role CRediT taxonomy.

One author may perform several roles, and multiple authors may share a role. Authors should include only roles actually performed; all 14 roles are not required. All authors must review and approve the statement. Single-author manuscripts must also identify the applicable roles.

CRediT describes contributions; it does not independently determine authorship eligibility or author order. All listed authors must meet the journal’s authorship requirements.

To maintain double-blind peer review, identifying contribution information must be submitted separately from the manuscript supplied to reviewers, following the journal’s instructions. The complete statement must be included in the final manuscript according to the revised template.

    3. Implementation

The revised template and declaration requirements apply to all articles published in Volume 7, Issue 1 (January–February 2027) and subsequent issues.

Authors whose manuscripts are under review or have already been accepted for publication in these issues may be requested to update their manuscripts and provide the required information before production.

The Editorial Board thanks all authors, reviewers, and other contributors for their cooperation and continued support in strengthening the journal’s publishing standards.

  • Transition from Page Numbers to Article Numbers

    2025-12-21
Announcement: Transition from Page Numbers to Article Numbers

Interdisciplinary Academic and Research Journal (IARJ)

The Interdisciplinary Academic and Research Journal (IARJ) would like to inform authors, reviewers, readers, and indexing partners that starting from the year 2026 onward, the journal will adopt an Article Number (Article ID) system in place of traditional page numbering for all newly published articles.

This transition reflects the journal’s commitment to international scholarly publishing best practices and aligns with standards widely adopted by major indexing and abstracting services, including Web of Science (WoS), Scopus, EBSCO, ProQuest, and Crossref. The implementation of article numbers supports online-only and open access publishing, enhances metadata consistency, and facilitates accurate citation, indexing, and long-term digital preservation.

    Under the new system:
    • Each published article will be assigned a unique Article Number (Article ID).

    • Page numbers will no longer be used for articles published from 2026 onward.

    • Citation formats will reference the Article Number instead of page ranges.

    • Articles published prior to 2026 will retain their original page numbers and will not be altered.

    • The journal will provide updated citation guidelines and metadata standards to ensure a smooth transition for authors, readers, and indexing partners.

The Editorial Board of Interdisciplinary Academic and Research Journal (IARJ) appreciates the continued support of our academic community as we implement this improvement to enhance the quality, accessibility, and global visibility of the journal.
