Factors Affecting the Exercise Behavior of International Graduate Students in the Faculty of Sports Science and Technology at Bangkokthonburi University

Background and Aims: This study aimed to examine the factors influencing exercise behavior among international graduate students at the Faculty of Sports Science and Technology, Bangkok Thonburi University.
Methodology: This qualitative research investigated factors affecting exercise behavior among 120 international graduate students, selected proportionally from a population of 176 students. A questionnaire was used as a research instrument, and data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including percentages, means, and standard deviation. The results revealed that personal factors, social–environmental factors, and exercise behaviors were all at a high level and significantly correlated at the .05 level.
Results: The findings indicated that international graduate students at the Faculty of Sports Science and Technology, Bangkok Thonburi University, demonstrated high levels of exercise behavior and related factors (\bar{x}= 3.80, SD = 0.75). Among these, personal factors had the highest mean score, followed by exercise behavior and social–environmental factors. The relationships among variables were low but statistically significant (p < .05).
Conclusion: The study highlights that knowledge, motivation, environment, and social support collectively play significant roles in promoting exercise behavior among university students.
