Abstract

Background and Aims: In an era of rapid and complex global changes, a wealth of knowledge, concepts, theories, and innovations in education has emerged. Curriculum management within this dynamic context requires a clear understanding, knowledge, and strategic approaches to ensure that curricula can effectively and sustainably adapt to these changes. This academic article aims to present curriculum management approaches for sustainability within the context of the VUCA World.

Methodology: This study employs a document analysis and literature review approach, synthesizing relevant research and academic studies to achieve the study’s objectives.

Results: The study identifies five key Approaches in curriculum management: (1) planning and preparation for curriculum implementation, (2) execution of teaching and learning processes based on the curriculum, (3) supervision, monitoring, and evaluation of the curriculum, (4) stakeholder engagement in the curriculum management process, and (5) continuous curriculum improvement and modernization. Implementing curriculum management based on these principles enables educational institutions to develop and operate curricula efficiently, ensuring adaptability to the dynamics of the modern world. This, in turn, fosters the creation of a sustainable education and learning system.

Conclusion: The proposed curriculum management approaches can be applied and adapted to enhance curriculum effectiveness and responsiveness to the ever-changing global landscape. This will contribute to the development of a sustainable education and learning system.
