Abstract

The article  study corresponding Thai expressions for Chinese modal adverb “jianzhi” and its translation in， Thai by investigating Chinese adverb “jianzhi” and its Thai counterparts in the Chinese-Thai versions of three novels, i.e. The Family by Ba Jin , Wild Grass by Lu Xun and The Butterfly by Wang Meng. Then analyzing the similarities and differences between Chinese modal adverb “jianzhi” and their counterparts in Thai.
