Aim & scope

The University of Phayao is committed to promoting the publication of Trends of Humanities and Social Sciences Research as a high-quality academic journal that meets the national journal quality standards established by the Office of the National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO) and complies with the criteria of the Thai-Journal Citation Index (TCI).

In accordance with this commitment, the journal adheres to rigorous editorial practices by carefully selecting and publishing high-quality scholarly articles. The journal aims to provide readers with academic knowledge and perspectives grounded in sound scholarly principles, thereby contributing to the development of a stable, resilient, and sustainable society capable of responding effectively to diverse challenges and changing circumstances.

Trends of Humanities and Social Sciences Research serves as a platform for the exchange and dissemination of academic knowledge in both theoretical and practical dimensions. The journal welcomes original research articles and other scholarly contributions covering a broad range of disciplines in the humanities and social sciences. Through the dissemination of high-quality academic and research works, the journal seeks to promote knowledge exchange, advance scholarly understanding, and contribute to the development of society through academically rigorous and practically relevant knowledge.   

The journal aims to provide a platform for the dissemination of research and academic works by faculty members, students, researchers, and the general public. It also serves as a medium for the exchange of academic knowledge and expertise, facilitating the dissemination of theoretical and practical knowledge that contributes to the advancement and broader development of knowledge across various disciplines.

Trends of Humanities and Social Sciences Research welcomes original research and scholarly contributions covering a broad range of disciplines in the humanities and social sciences. The journal accepts manuscripts in the following areas:

  1. Arts and Humanities
    Including Education, Literature, History, Philosophy, Linguistics, and Culture.

  2. Business, Management and Accounting
    Including Business Administration and Management, Strategic Planning, Human Resource Management, and Financial Analysis.

  3. Social Sciences
    Including Social Sciences, Psychology, Economics, and Humanities.

Types of articles 

1.Research Article is a scholarly article that presents the findings of a study or research project involving systematic data collection, analysis, and interpretation, resulting in clearly articulated new knowledge. A research article should include the following components: Abstract, Introduction, Objectives, Conceptual Framework, Hypotheses (if applicable), Research Methodology, Research Ethics Approval Number (IRB) (if applicable), Results, Discussion and Conclusion, Acknowledgements (if applicable), and References.

2. Academic Article is a scholarly article that presents an analysis, critique, or discussion of an academic issue that has been previously studied. It emphasizes the use of evidence and information drawn from research studies or other reliable academic sources. An academic article should include the following components: Abstract, Introduction, Objectives, Conclusion, Recommendations, Acknowledgements (if applicable), and References.

3. Review Article is a scholarly article that compiles and synthesizes knowledge on a particular topic from studies published in various academic journals and other scholarly sources. It involves analysis, critical evaluation, comparison, and synthesis of key issues, together with recommendations that provide greater clarity and serve as a foundation for further study and research.

Peer Review Process

All articles published in this journal undergo rigorous academic review to ensure their scholarly quality and validity. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least three qualified experts in the relevant field through a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous to each other. In addition, reviewers must not be affiliated with the same institution as the authors of the manuscript.

The views, opinions, and statements expressed in the articles published in this journal are solely those of the respective authors. The Editorial Board does not necessarily endorse or agree with such views or opinions and shall not be held responsible for the content or opinions expressed by the authors.

The journal is published twice a year, with each issue released every six months:
