Trends of Humanities and Social Sciences Research

        (Manuscript Preparation)

  1. Manuscripts may be written in either Thai or English. Each manuscript must include both a English abstract. For manuscripts written in Thai, Thai terminology and the transliteration of English terms should follow the principles prescribed by the Royal Society of Thailand. The use of English words within the Thai text should be avoided unless necessary, such as when no appropriate Thai equivalent exists or when the English term facilitates clearer understanding. English terms incorporated into Thai text should be written in lowercase, except for proper nouns.

For manuscripts written in English, authors are strongly advised to have the manuscript carefully proofread by a qualified English-language specialist prior to submission to ensure linguistic accuracy and academic quality.

Manuscripts should be approximately 5,000–9,000 words in length.

  2. Manuscript Format: Use A4 paper with TH Niramit AS font. Set the margins to 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides and use single spacing between lines to facilitate reading and editing.
  1. Font Type and Size: The manuscript should use TH Niramit AS font for both English text.
  • Title: 18 pt., bold
  • Author Name(s): 16 pt., regular
  • Main Headings: 16 pt., bold
  • Subheadings: 14 pt., bold
  • Abstract and Main Text: 14 pt., regular
  • First-Page Footnote (Author Affiliation/Address): 12 pt., regular

       4. Manuscript Submission Authors must submit their manuscripts electronically in the following file format: “.doc” (MS Word)

       5. Page Limit  The manuscript should not exceed 15 pages, including tables, figures, and references.

       6. Manuscript Types Manuscripts are divided into two types, as follows:

           1. Research Article: is a scholarly article that presents the findings of a study or research project involving systematic data collection, analysis, and interpretation, resulting in clearly articulated new knowledge. A research article should include the following components: Abstract, Introduction, Objectives, Conceptual Framework, Hypotheses (if applicable), Research Methodology, Research Ethics Approval Number (IRB) (if applicable), Results, Discussion and Conclusion, Acknowledgements (if applicable), and References.

           2. Academic Article: is a scholarly article that presents an analysis, critique, or discussion of an academic issue that has been previously studied. It emphasizes the use of evidence and information drawn from research studies or other reliable academic sources. An academic article should include the following components: Abstract, Introduction, Objectives, Conclusion, Recommendations, Acknowledgements (if applicable), and References.

            3. Review Article: is a scholarly article that compiles and synthesizes knowledge on a particular topic from studies published in various academic journals and other scholarly sources. It involves analysis, critical evaluation, comparison, and synthesis of key issues, together with recommendations that provide greater clarity and serve as a foundation for further study and research.

        7. Page Numbering Page numbers should be placed at the top center of each A4 page.

Article Heading Structure

  1. [Title]:  The title should be concise, clear, and reflective of the main objective of the research. Abbreviations should not be used. The title should not exceed 100 characters (approximately two lines). Both Thai and English titles must be provided. For manuscripts written in Thai, the Thai title should appear first, followed by the English title, and both titles should convey the same meaning.
  2.  [Author(s)]:
Author Information: The authors’ names and addresses should be provided in English, along with their affiliated department, organization, or institution and email address to facilitate communication with the editorial board and interested readers. If there are more than five authors, they should be listed in order of importance or contribution.
Author Affiliation: Each author’s institutional affiliation should be clearly indicated and correspond to the respective author’s name.
  3. [Abstract]: The abstract should provide a concise yet comprehensive summary of the entire research article, covering the essential content of the full manuscript. It should not exceed 250 words and should avoid the use of abbreviations. Both Thai and English abstracts are required.
  4. [Keywords]: Keywords should be provided at the end of each abstract, in both Thai and English. The number of keywords should not exceed five words.
  5. [Introduction]: The introduction is the opening section of the manuscript and should present the background, rationale, and objectives that led to the research. It should also provide relevant academic information based on a review of the literature.
  6. [Objectives]: The objectives should clearly define the goals of the research and specify the issues to be investigated. The following criteria should be observed: the objectives must be clear and specific, the sub-objectives should not overlap or duplicate one another, and the objectives should be organized in a logical sequence reflecting their relationships
  7. [Conceptual Framework]: The research consists of variables and the identification of relationships among the variables. In developing the research conceptual framework, relevant theoretical foundations related to the research problem should be reviewed and synthesized to establish the variables and the relationships among them. These relationships should then be presented in the form of a research conceptual framework, which can subsequently be developed into a research model
  8. [Research Hypotheses] (if applicable): The hypotheses should indicate the expected findings in relation to the research objectives and provide a basis for interpreting and discussing the results. Where appropriate, the findings should be discussed and compared with previous studies or research on similar issues, supported by reliable and credible references.
  9. [Research Methodology]: This section should describe the systematic process used to obtain answers to the research questions and should provide a clear description of the research design and procedures. It should include, as appropriate, the research design, population and sample, research instruments, data collection procedures, data analysis methods, and methods used to analyze and interpret the research findings.
  10. [Results]: The results should clearly and concisely report the findings according to the sequence of the research procedures. If the results are straightforward and involve only a small number of numerical values, they should be presented in descriptive form. If the results involve numerous numerical values or variables, tables or charts should be used instead. The manuscript should contain no more than five tables or charts.
  11. [Discussion and Conclusion]: This section should demonstrate how the research findings address the stated objectives and provide interpretation and critical discussion of the findings. The results should be compared with previous studies or related research on similar issues, with appropriate support from reliable and credible references. The section should also provide a clear conclusion based on the research findings.
  12. [Tables, Figures, and Diagrams]: The accuracy of the sources and intellectual property rights should be verified. Only necessary tables, figures, and diagrams should be included and inserted within the main text in the order corresponding to their discussion in the manuscript. Each should have a concise and informative caption that clearly conveys the essential content. Table captions should be placed above the tables, while figure and diagram captions should be placed below the respective figures or diagrams.
  13. [Acknowledgements]: Briefly acknowledge the funding sources and any organizations or individuals that provided support or assistance in conducting the research.
  14. [Recommendations]: Provide recommendations for future research and the application of the research findings, based on the research findings themselves and grounded in relevant theoretical and practical considerations.
  15. [References]: Provide a complete list of all sources cited in the manuscript, using the American Psychological Association (APA) 6th Edition referencing style. All references should be arranged alphabetically according to the first letter of each reference, following dictionary order. Thai-language references should be listed before foreign-language references, as illustrated in the attached document. Downlond (PDF)
