Abstract

The study entitled “Political Discourse in LAO KHAMHOM Short Stories” aimed to analyze the political discourse forming processes in LAO KHAMHOM short stories.
The data was 49 stories analyzed by using Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). The results revealed that there were three political discourse forming processes in LAO KHAMHOM short stories. These were 1) political discourse forming processes in aspect of the democracy; 2) political discourse forming processes in aspect of the ideology and authoritarian; and 3) political discourse forming processes in aspect of development.
