Abstract
ในครั้งที่ผู้เขียนอ่านหนังสือ และบทความหลายชิ้นของ Guy Standing เพื่อทำความเข้าใจบทบาทขององค์การแรงงานระหว่างประเทศ (International Labour Organization: ILO) จากบทความ “The ILO: An Agency for Globalization” (Standing, 2008) และทราบภายหลังว่ามีข้อเสนอเกี่ยวกับการคุ้มครองทางสังคมจากบทความ “Globalization: the Eight Crises of Social Protection” (Standing, 2001) กระทั่งมาศึกษาถึงบทความชิ้นอื่นที่เกี่ยวกับผลกระทบที่เกิดขึ้นจากชุดนโยบายเสรีนิยมใหม่ อันทำให้แรงงานขาดความมั่นคงในชีวิตและรายได้
