Abstract

This study was conducted with two primary objectives: 1) to develop a training curriculum focused on sexual abuse awareness, aimed at enhancing students' cognitive resilience against potential threats, 2) to compare students' knowledge before and after the training and assess their sentiments regarding sexual abuse prevention, psychological recovery, and their perceptions of the training program. We employed a pre-experimental design featuring a one-group pretest and posttest methodology. The research unfolded
in four phases: 1) examining background information, 2) developing a curriculum consisting of six components, 3) validating the curriculum through expert review, and 4) evaluating its effectiveness. The study involved 83 sixth-grade students from Municipal School No. 4 (Wat Nopphawongsaram). Data analysis included calculating the mean (M), standard deviation (S), and conducting dependent-samples t-tests. The results indicated that: 1) the developed curriculum was rated as highly to very appropriate, 2) students' knowledge about sexual abuse significantly increased after the training, achieving statistical significance, 3) students’ attitudes toward sexual abuse prevention and the benefits of psychological recovery met the predetermined criteria, and 4) students expressed positive feedback regarding
the training, including its content, activities, venue, duration, and overall benefits.
