SETTING UP AN ENVIRONMENT CONDUCIVE TO LEARNING

Abstract

The environments that are conducive to learning include external and internal environments. The management of external environment for learning may have some constraints i.e. budget, teaching and learning resources, and other external factors whereas the management of internal environment for learning can be established easily by the teachers themselves through focusing on the psychological atmosphere, managing the class as a learning community, improving teachers’ personality, developing teaching behaviors, applying the techniques for classroom governance, and enhancing interactions in the classroom. The management of the internal learning environment can effectively help increasing the students’ satisfaction in learning, self-development to their full potential as well as creating a conducive teaching and learning to achieve the learning objectives set.
