Abstract

The processes were discussion on breastfeeding attitude and explanation in information of breastfeeding during the pregnancy period and lactation procedure review by video and developing breastfeeding by demonstration and practice after delivery. In addition, there was a reinforced support by husband or her family members. After that health care professional would encourage baby to get breast milk every 2 hour while control group received regular nursing care. Post data were collected by using 1) questionnaire  2) questionnaire with predisposing factor, enabling factor and reinforcing factors  that associated with knowledge and attitude 3) assessment of breastfeeding behavior follow by LATCH score. Data analyzed by using descriptive statistic and independent sample t-test.


          The study result showed that the experimental group had better breastfeeding behavior after participating health promotion in breastfeeding program for mother caesarean section than the control group at .05 statistical significant level.
