The Guidelines for Developing Creative Leadership of School Administrators BuriRam Provincial Office of Learning Encouragement

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to: 1) examine the components and indicators of creative leadership among school administrators under the Office for Learning Promotion, Buriram Province;
2) investigate the current conditions, desired conditions, and priority needs for developing creative leadership among school administrators under the Office for Learning Promotion, Buriram Province; and
3) propose guidelines for developing creative leadership among these administrators. The sample comprised 244 school administrators and teachers and 16 experts. The research instruments included a questionnaire,
a semi-structured interview, and an evaluation form for assessing the appropriateness and feasibility of the proposed development guidelines. The data were analyzed using percentages, means, standard deviations, and the Modified Priority Needs Index (PNI_modified) to determine priority needs.

The findings revealed that the components and indicators of creative leadership were rated as highly appropriate, both overall and for each component. The overall current conditions of creative leadership were at a moderate level, while the overall desired conditions were at the highest level. The overall PNI_modified value was 0.44. The priority needs, ranked from highest to lowest, were creativity, vision, achievement orientation, flexibility and adaptability, and individualized consideration, respectively.
The proposed guidelines for developing creative leadership were rated as highly appropriate and highly feasible.
