Academic Work Management and the Need (Demand) for Institutional Repositories Use of Roi Et Rajabhat University

Abstract

              The research samples were 9 university administrators and 669 lecturers and students.

Data was conducted by using structured interview and questionnaire. This study aimed to investigate
the current practices of academic work management and the need for institutional repository use
of Roi Et Rajabhat University. Data analysis using content analysis, data grouping, and descriptive statistics.

The result was presented as follows:

1. 1. The current practices of academic works management were summarized in three aspects;
   1) producing academic works including research works and textbooks has been constantly funded by
   the university, 2) storing academic works at the center has not been completely organized. The works
   are likely to be separately stored at the owner, faculty that funding agency, and 3) utilization and dissemination of academic works, the university has established a policy for presenting and disseminating research papers
   at all levels.
2. 2. The need for institutional repository use found that lecturers and students wanted to use
   the institutional information library at the high level. The most needed of academic works were books, textbooks, and research in PDF format. It can be accessed through the library's Web OPAC, with the required information being a bibliography and full-text.
