Development of User Information Systems for Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine Service Center in the Northeast, Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study and develop user database system for Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine Service Center in the Northeast, Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University, 2) to find the efficiency of the developed user database system, and 3) to assess satisfaction of the developed user database system. The user database system was designed and developed using phpMyAdmin for database management, and the web server system was developed using JavaScript, PHP, and HTML. A 5-rating scale questionnaire was used as a tool to evaluate the user database system. The questionnaire was divided into 3 forms for computer program experts, system administrators, and users. The statistics used for data analysis were mean and standard deviation. It was found that the developed user database system could store and search for information. The system displayed accurate data and it met the needs of users. The results of the system evaluation from the satisfaction questionnaire by the computer program experts showed that the system had a very good level of efficiency with a mean of 4.62. The system evaluation by the system administrators also showed that the system had a very good level of efficiency with a mean of 4.57. The system evaluation by the users showed that the system had a good level of efficiency with a mean of 4.21. It could be concluded that the developed user database system of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine Service Center in the Northeast, Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University could be used effectively.
