Abstract

The purpose of this research was to development of critical thinking abilities using learning activities according to the KWL PLUS for grade 6 students with a passing score of 70 percent or more. The researcher used an action research model. The target group used in this research were grade 6 students at Ban Phon Thaen School, Kaset Wisai district, Roi Et province, second semester of the academic year 2023, consisted of 14 students. The research tools consisted of 1) 6 learning management plans using Phonics Instruction 2) analytical thinking ability assessment form. The data were analyzed by finding percentages, averages, standard deviation and summarizing the results in an essay.

The findings:

            The development of critical thinking abilities using learning activities according to the KWL PLUS for grade 6 students, It was found that the results of the evaluation of analytical thinking ability for grade 6 students at Ban Phon Thaen School, second semester of the academic year 2023, a total of 14 people had analytical thinking ability scores passing the criteria of 70 percent or more. There were 14 people, accounting for 100 percent.
