Need Assessment of Academic Management Strategies Based on the Concept of Creative School Students' Core Competencies.

Abstract

          The purpose of this study is to analyze the priority need of academic management strategies based on the concept of creative school students' core competencies. The sample of the selected schools was the group from the board of the secondary school under the office of secondary educational service areas, office of the basic education commission section from 342 different schools, which its selections performed by the multi-stage random sampling. Furthermore, the members of the population are the school director, chief academic officers, head of the department from the major subjects and teachers in a total of 1,118 people. The research tools are the questionnaires in the form of the Likert rating scales. As a result, 74.2690% of the questionnaires returned from the sample group. The data were analyzed by frequency distribution, percentage , mean, standard deviations and PNI modified. Overall, the findings indicated that the highest priority need of academic management strategies based on the concept of creative school students' core competencies is media and educational technology, learning resources development, measurement and assessment, learning and classroom management and curriculum development and respectively. Lastly, as the overall average of individually averaged values has been considered, there is five identical value for the academic management, which are criticism, followed by three identical value for the academic management, which are composure.
