Quality Evaluation of Electronic Media Developed Teaching English, Science, and Mathematics Courses in Schools Participating in World Class Standard Program

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: (1) to compare pre and post achievement in English, Science, and Mathematics of students using electronic media; (2) to study the students’ interest in learning English, Science, and Mathematics through electronic media; and (3) to evaluate the quality of electronic media developed for teaching English, Science, and Mathematics courses in schools participating in World Class Standard Program. Samples included 32 English, Science, and Mathematics teachers and 210 Mathayom Suksa 3rd year students from schools participating in World Class Standard Program, under the Office of the Basic Education Commission. Research instruments were questionnaire, examination, and electronic media regarding English, Science, and Mathematics subjects. Data were analyzed by using percentage, mean, standard deviation, t - test and content analysis. The research results revealed that (1) students studied through electronic media had higher score in the post achievement comparing to the pre achievement significantly level as of .05 level; (2) students studied through electronic media were interested in learning English, Science and Mathematics at a high level; and (3) the quality of electronic media was high quality at all levels: including content, activities, media presentation, technical design, program and screen design, and benefits for students and teachers.
