Abstract
This research, “A Study of Factors Influencing the Mission and Operations for Organizational Structure Design of the Phuket Campus Office, Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus” is a qualitative study. The target group consisted of 16 administrators selected through purposive sampling, and included 23 administrative personnel selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected using a semi-structured interview format, with in-depth interviews conducted with both groups. The qualitative data were analyzed using descriptive and narrative methods. The results revealed that key factors affecting organizational restructuring include policies aimed at internationalization, reducing operational redundancies, and enhancing efficiency through technology. Additionally, decentralizing decision-making and encouraging participation at all staff levels were identified as crucial elements supporting organizational change. The recommendations for restructuring include developing a flexible organizational structure, emphasizing the enhancement of staff skills through the application of technology to reduce redundancy, and improving operational management. Furthermore, clear communication and staff engagement are essential to alleviate concerns over increased workloads and promote an international working environment.
