This qualitative study utilized a semi-structured interview method to collect data from a purposive sample of 33 university instructors from a private university in central Thailand who volunteered to share their experiences and perspectives through the online application Zoom. Each interview lasted for 30-40 minutes; voice recorded data were then transcribed. The data was coded, and content analysis was employed to identify sub-concepts, which were grouped and categorized into emergent themes. The findings indicated that the most common techniques used by students to cheat were notes written on body parts or concealed papers. The penalties for such conduct generally ranged from a partial to total deduction of marks. The most frequently suggested ways to reduce or prevent cheating included strengthening students’ appreciation of the importance of ethical conduct through in-class or extracurricular activities, and strictly monitoring exam settings.
2024-04-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 https://so03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/npuj/article/view/276772 The Relationship between Board Composition and Audit Quality: A Case Study of Thai Listed Companies 2024-04-04T09:49:47+07:00 Suparak Janjarasjit suparja@kku.ac.th Thanida Uthayapong thanut@kku.ac.th
A board of directors is placed in the spotlight as corporate financial statements come under greater scrutiny from regulators, investors, and other stakeholders after the occurrence of financial scandals. To strengthen board effectiveness, the Thailand corporate governance code requires the board to review the board structure in terms of size and composition. Effective teaching methods should support learners both cognitively and emotionally. This paper proposes the use of scaffolding techniques that foster effective learning environments through social interaction in the Zone of Proximal Development using the target language. Cognitive scaffolding involves teachers acting as facilitators who create learning environments that suit circumstances by fostering teaching methods, techniques, and mediums tailored to students' language abilities. Emotional scaffolding is the stimulation of a positive learning atmosphere, focusing on a positive attitude. As learners progress, the level of support gradually diminishes, encouraging them to tackle challenging tasks independently. Scaffolding techniques mirror the inherent learning process. Thus, they obtain a high degree of flexibility and can be applied to various teaching approaches.
2024-04-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024
