Focus and Scope

Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences Nakhon Phanom University

Objectives:
    1. To publish and disseminate academic work.
    2. To promote new ideas, techniques, and developments, as well as to provide a platform for presenting academic work by university personnel and the general public.
Scope of Publication:
The Journal publishes research articles and academic articles Its objectives are to publish articles as above-mentioned in  the fields of education, business administration,  economics,  political science,  public administration,  law,  communications, agricultural extension,  art,  culture  and  related  fields Business, Management, and Sustainability

Review Process

Manuscripts must be submitted to the editor online at  https://so03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/npuj/submission/ wizard Manuscripts must not have been previously published. The following is the review process:

  1. The editorial team first screened the manuscript to determine whether it was within the journal’s scope and purpose. However, if the manuscript does not pass the initial consideration, the editor will inform the author of the refusal to consider the manuscript.
  2. The manuscript will be screened by the editorial team to check for the format as required by the journal. The manuscript that does not meet the journal’s requirement will be returned to the author for revision before the peer review process is undertaken
  3. If the manuscript passes the initial consideration, the editorial team will notify the author to pay the submission fee for further consideration. (See details in the topic “Announcement of Publication Fees”).
  4. After the author has paid the submission fee, the manuscript will be sent to a peer review.
  5. When the reviewers have completed the reviews, the editorial team will send the comments to another. If there are corrections, the author will be notified to make corrections according to the recommendations of the experts and the editorial team (if any) within the period specified by the editorial team. If the manuscript does not pass the review, the editor will inform the author of the refusal to accept the article along with the results of the evaluation.
  6. The manuscript has been completely edited. The editorial team will check the correctness and suitability of the article title, abstract, and references. Including formatting the article as specified again. And, the acceptance letter is sent to the author(s).

Peer Review Process

Every published article must receive approval from the editorial team and is peer-reviewed by at least 3 reviewers in the related fields. The review is done by double-blind peer review, in which the reviewer's and author's names and affiliations are anonymous.  

Publication Frequency

The journal publishes 3 issues per year.
     Issue 1 January - April
     Issue 2 May – August
     Issue 3 September– December

Announcement of Publication Fees

The Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences, Nakhon Phanom University, will charge a fee for the publication of an article. After passing the journal’s initial review for the format, scope, and suitability of the article according to the journal's quality criteria by the journal's editorial team. Authors are required to pay a fee of 5,000 baht and 4,500 baht for university personnel per article (including English language review if accepted for publication). Please note that there will be no refunds for articles that are not accepted for publication

Journal History

The Humanities and Social Sciences Journal of Nakhon Phanom University first began publication in 2011 under the name "Nakhon Phanom University Journal". It was later renamed " Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences Nakhon Phanom University. Published in Volume 9, No.1, 2019, and evaluated by the Thai Journal Citation Index (TCI) for inclusion in its database from 2014 to the present.
