ภารกิจด้านการสอนระดับปริญญาตรีกับการประเมินความพร้อมออกนอกระบบ: กรณีศึกษาภาควิชาประวัติศาสตร์ คณะศิลปศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์

บทคัดย่อ

บทความนี้สังเคราะห์จากงานวิจัยเกี่ยวกับภารกิจด้านการเรียนการสอนของภาควิชาประวัติศาสตร์ คณะศิลปศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ เป้าหมายหลักคือการนำข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณที่เกิดจากการดำเนินการในรอบ 3 ปีที่ผ่านมา มาวิเคราะห์แนวโน้มและองค์ประกอบอื่นๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้อง อาทิ ความหลากหลายของกลุ่มนักศึกษาที่ลงทะเบียน ภาระงานของบุคลากรในสังกัด ฯลฯ เพื่อเป็นแนวทางการประเมินความพร้อมขององค์กรให้สามารถรองรับความเปลี่ยนแปลงจากการที่มหาวิทยาลัยต้องออกนอกระบบ บทความชี้ให้เห็นว่า สถานการณ์ต่อจากนี้จะกดดันให้องค์กรระดับภาควิชาต้องใช้ประสิทธิภาพที่ตนมีอยู่อย่างจริงจังมากขึ้น โดยเฉพาะการบริการทรัพยากรทั้งหมดขององค์กรได้แก่ หลักสูตร บุคลากร งบประมาณ ให้สอดคล้องกับเกณฑ์ต่างๆ ทั้งที่กำหนดขึ้นโดยมหาวิทยาลัยและหน่วยงานระดับเหนือกว่านั้น

The findings of this paper have been synthesized through reviews of a previous research on the undergraduate teaching of History Department, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thammasat University. It aims at applying the quantitative information collected from the teaching tasks in the past three years for the analysis of trends and any elements possibly relevant to its teaching mission, such as the diverse groups of students from different disciplines who have registered for available courses or the workloads of its teaching staffs,
etc. This paper may serve as a guideline for the preparedness evaluation of the organization itself to cope with any possible changes stemming from the forthcoming privatization of Thammasat University. It also points out that the situation to be taken place from this transitional period onwards will pressure and force the department to comprehensively maximize its working capacity, especially when it comes to the management of its resources, curriculum structuring, academic members, and budget allocation in order to work in
compliance with regulations to be designated by the University office as well as any other units set at the higher working levels.
