THAI AIRWAYS EMPLOYEE’S ATTITUDE TOWARDS FACTORS PROMOTING WORK MORALE

Objectives of this research article were: 1. To investigate level of the Thai Airways employees’ attitude towards factors promoting work morale;
2. To compare Thai Airways employee’s attitudes towards factors promoting work morale, classified by personal factors, which included gender, age, education and job position; and 3 To investigate the relationship between supporting factors and Thai airways employee’s attitudes towards factors promoting work morale, conducted by the quantitative method. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires from 400 employees of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited. The statistics used to analyze quantitative data included percentage, mean, and standard deviation.
Research findings were found that: 1. Employees of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited demonstrated an overall high level of positive attitudes toward factors promoting work morale including both motivational factors and hygiene factors 2. Employees with different levels of education showed statistically significant differences in their attitudes toward factors promoting work morale at the 0.05 level of significance. Likewise, employees with different levels of average monthly income also exhibited statistically significant differences in their attitudes toward such factors at the 0.05 level. In contrast, personal factors such as gender, age, and length of employment showed no statistically significant differences in employees’ attitudes toward factors promoting work morale. and
3. Supporting factors, including legally required welfare benefits, additional welfare benefits provided by the organization, and welfare benefits obtained through negotiation, were significantly correlated with employees’ attitudes toward factors promoting work morale at the 0.05 level of statistical significance.
